Hiroshi 'Yota' Tanaka is Japan's up and coming composer and conductor of The Milky Way Orchestra. Established in 1993, The Milkyway Orchestra performs original compositions written and arranged by Yota and has played at various venues in Japan, including the Sunshine Planetarium in Sunshine City, Ikebukuro, for an audience of 1,200 people.

In addition to performing live, Yota is no stranger to the small screen, having composed works for several Japanese television programs and documentaries. He has also released several albums with the Milky Way Orchestra, boasting popular hits such as 'North Shore', 'Dance of Life' and 'Voyage'.

Yota's unique perspective on instrumentation and musical arrangements will provide the foundation from which new orchestra music will arise.
